Grant Program Development

We'll work with your organization to identify funding sources and create compelling requests for funding that will advance your objectives.

  • Disaster Preparedness

The Federal Emergency Management Agency provides state and local jurisdictions with funding to enhance their emergency responders' capacity to prevent, respond to, and recover from a weapons of mass destruction terrorism incident involving chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive devices and cyber-attacks. We can help you learn more about these opportunities and apply for funding.

  • Assistance to Firefighters

In the wake of 9/11, the Assistance to Firefighters Grants program was created to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical service organizations. Funding from this program can help responders obtain critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, training and other resources to protect the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards. We can help your agency develop winning requests for this critical funding.

  • Emergency Management Performance Grants (EMPG)

Derived from post-hurricane Katrina legislation, the EMPG Program provides federal funds to assist state, local, tribal and territorial governments in preparing for all hazards. This program is designed to promote a system of emergency preparedness for the protection of life and property from hazards and to vest responsibility for emergency preparedness jointly in the federal government and the states and their political subdivisions. We'll help you navigate these sometimes complex pathways and develop funding requests that translate into dollars for your jurisdiction.

  • Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP)

The HSGP supports the building, sustainment, and delivery of core capabilities for a secure and resilient Nation. Notably, these funding streams are not exclusive to any single level of government, organization, or community. Global ER can help you develop requests for support across the programs five mission areas: Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery.

  • Hazard Mitigation

The effort to reduce or eliminate the risks from hazards to people and property is critical to effective resilience. This work is best developed in concert with long term planning that takes place before disaster strikes. Let Global ER's team of resilience experts work with you to identify how your business, organization or jurisdiction is vulnerable and what you can do to protect yourself.

  • Budget and Investment Justification development

As federal grant recipients know, effective reporting is the key to retaining long-term funding streams. Our budget and grant experts can help you develop clear justifications that speak to your mission while aligning yourself with the granter's priorities and compliance policies. We'll help you ensure that you keep the awards you receive.

Training and Exercises

An effective emergency plan is only as effective as the people who will implement it, when the need arises. We can help your team to develop engaging trainings that ensure that your people know what to do, when to do it, and why their role is critical. Exercises, drills, and other experiences help to give your team a clear vision of the challenges with which they will be presented when a plan is activated. Our specialists have real-world experience that translates into realistic scenarios that will excite, challenge and expand your team's knowledge and capability.
