Nick is tapped to be the Director of Health and Medical for The New York City Office of Emergency Management.  Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner, Nick leads a team of Health and Medical specialists to plan and prepare New York City for disasters and citywide emergencies.  During his tenure at OEM, Nick helps to develop the City's Healthcare Facility Evacuation Plan and numerous other initiatives.  He helps to manage the response to several notable health emergencies including the Flight 1549 Aviation incident (on the Hudson River) and the H1N1 influenza outbreak. ...

Nick and other team members return to Pakistan, this time to the Northwest Frontier Province where they established a field hospital with 24-hour emergency care, treating up to 550 patients per day while managing distribution of the shelters.
